Former Secretary of the Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Honourable Lanre Ogunyemi has won the party’s ticket to contest for the House of Representatives seat of Ojo Federal Constituency, reports thegazellenews.com
In a keenly contested primary election which took place at Ojo Multi-purpose Hall, Ogunyemi polled a total of 28 votes to beat his nearest rival and former Chairman of Otto-Awori Local Council Development Area, Kayode Roberts who polled 14 votes.
Olawale Aganga-Williams came third with 10 votes while two former Assembly members: Abayomi Sodiq and Ramota Oseni polled two and one votes respectively.
Chairman, Primary Election Committee, Bisi Fashina declared Ogunyemi the winner of the election while handing over the official election result signed by him and other members of the committee to the winner.
