A Polish citizen was one of nine Coronavirus patients discharged in Lagos on Tuesday, 21 April, 2020, The Gazelle News.com reports.
The cheering news was broken by the state Governor and Incident Commander, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on his official Twitter handle.
According to the Governor, five females and four males including the Polish national were discharged on Tuesday, 21 April, 2020.
Five of the patients were discharged from the Infectious Disease Centre in Yaba while the remaining four were discharged from the Isolation Centre in Onikan.
The Governor stated further that the patients were discharged after they have all tested negative twice to the virus after they have been treated.
The total number of discharged Coronavirus patients in Lagos is now 107.

Good people of Lagos,
I have more great news from our isolation facilities. 9 more persons; 5 females and 4 males including 1 foreign national – a polish, have been discharged to join the society.
The patients; 5 from the Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba and 4 from Onikan Isolation centre were discharged having fully recovered and tested negative twice consecutively to COVID-19.
With this, the number of patients successfully managed and discharged from our facilities is now 107.
As our front line health workers records successes in the battle against #COVID19, we urge citizens to safe at home, practice Social distancing and adopt highest possible personal and hand hygiene. This is the only way we can break the chain of transmission of the infection.
