The Lagos State Government, through the Lagos State Building Control Agency (LASBCA) has granted a four weeks extension for the collection and submission of Expression of Interest form for interested consultants in the built environment registered with relevant professional bodies in Nigeria to indicate interest in the Certified Accreditors Programme (CAP).
This was disclosed by the General Manager of the Building Control Agency, Arc. Gbolahan Oki, in his office while reviewing the level of responses by interested applicants in the new scheme.
Oki noted that the extension is aimed at giving more professionals in the built environment the opportunity to participate in this significant initiative.
He reiterated that the CAP program is a Public- Private synergy aimed at leveraging on the peculiar expertise and experience of private sector professionals to further accelerate LASBCA’s effectiveness towards optimum service delivery.
The Certified Accreditors, among other responsibilities are expected to carry out screening of drawings and stage inspection services for all structures in the various categories as well as monitoring activities for compliance with the Lagos State Building Control Regulation.
The General Manager called on Interested Professional in the built industry registered with relevant professional bodies in Nigeria with the requisite qualifications/requirements to obtain the Expression of Interest form at LASBCA Headquarters, Muiz Banire Way, Ikeja GRA, Lagos, between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
The initial collection period, scheduled from 3rd of June to 12th of July 2024 has now been extended to 15th of August 2024 on payment of non-refundable sum of Two Hundred And Fifty Thousand (N250,000.00), payable to Lagos State Government Revenue Code: 4020277, Agency Code: 7740000.
With the extension granted, all completed applications should be submitted to the above Office, not later than 4.00 pm, 30th of August 2024.
