One of the students of the Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State, who escaped from Boko Haram abductors in 2014, is set to marry her white lover, reports thegazellenews.com.
Joy Buchara flooded the social media with pictures of her white lover kneeling down to propose to her at a beach side in America on Tuesday, 25 July, 2023.
She was one of the 274 girls kidnapped by Boko Haram in 2014 from their school in Chibok.
However, luck smiled on her when she managed to escape alongside with her cousin, Lydia Pogu.
They were both offered scholarship by the government of the United States of America.
They completed their studies in 2021 with Buchara earning a degree in Social Works while Pogu earned a degree in Legal Studies
