The Secretary of the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), Lagos highest political decision making body, Alhaji Mutiu Are has described the victory of the Lagos Central Senatorial District Senator-elect, Rt Hon Wasiu Eshilokun-Sanni; and member-elect for Lagos Island State Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Princess Omolara Oyekan-Olumegbon as well-deserved.
Alhaji Are stated this via a statement he issued to congratulate the duo on their success at the recently concluded general elections.
Rt Hon Eshilokun-Sanni emerged Senator-elect for Lagos Central Senatorial District after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared him winner of the National Assembly election in the Senatorial District which took place on Saturday, 25 February, 2023, while Princess Oyekan-Olumegbon was equally declared winner of the state Assembly election which took place in her constituency on Saturday, 18 March, 2023.
Are stated that both Rt Hon Eshilokun-Sanni and Princess Oyekan-Olumegbon worked hard for the election hence they were eventually rewarded with overwhelming victory.
“Your victory at the elections were as a result of your hard work and perseverance. We thank God that eventually He crowned your efforts with resounding success,” he said.
