Equipped and armed personnel have been deployed to handle any unforeseen circumstances around the identified areas.
”The state government’s order banning all protests would be strictly enforced with vigor,” he said, adding that anyone found participating would be arrested and prosecuted.
The CP advised to go about their lawful activities without fear, as the police and other security agencies have taken comprehensive measures to ensure their safety.
He added that the security measures in place in the state would deal decisively with any form of security threats.
“We are equal to the tasks any person or group of people found fomenting trouble will be decisively dealt with accordingly.
“The police will not tolerate any form of violence or criminality, and anyone found with weapons will be arrested and charged with armed robbery,” he said.
The commissioner of police appealed to residents to cooperate with security agencies by reporting any suspicious individuals or activities, noting that this would ensure the sustenance of peace in the state.
”With a comprehensive security network in place, the police and state security agencies are committed to maintaining the peaceful atmosphere that Kano is known for,” Gumel said.
