A socio-political based in Ojo Federal Constituency, Ojo Youths Development Initiative (OYDI) has challenged House of Representatives aspirants in Ojo Federal Constituency to tell the people their programme of action for assessment.
The group was reacting to a viral video of another Rep aspirant, Honourable Lanre Ogunyemi whose video where he addressed the people of the federal constituency and inform them of his antecedents and programmes of action went viral on Thursday, 26 May, 2022.
“Ogunyemi has thrown a challenge to other aspirants. Let them emulate him, let them speak to us as Ogunyemi had done. We want to hear them talk to us,” the group said via a statement released on Friday, 27 May, 2022.
The statement was signed by its Director of Media and Publicity, Aderoju Isaac.
“Campaigning for people’s vote has gone beyond printing of posters and holding rallies. Let’s go for assessment of the aspirants through robust debates. In this instance, when there is no time for debates, Ogunyemi has done the right thing by addressing us through his video.
“Other aspirants should emulate him and talk to us. This is one to one address devoid of noise, scream, singing and dancing associated with campaign rallies,” the group said.
Ogunyemi’s video on his previous experience and programmes of action if elected the representative of the Ojo people in the House of Representatives went viral on Thursday and it received applause and commendations from the people.
