Agboyi-Ketu Will Rise Again: Emergency Support Fund for Victims of Looting, Vandalisation
It is no longer news that the recent unrest which occurred in some parts of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA had brought about looting of several shops and vandalization of many properties. In response to this occurrence, our administration is set to establish a N10M emergency support fund.
The aim of this support fund is to provide instant recovery efforts for victims of this havoc.
Thus, in a bid to ensure the funds are disbursed evenly with no bias, a committee would be set up to act as fiscal host for the fund and will also perform an oversight role in ensuring that the affected persons are the genuine recipients.
The members of the committee will comprise of trustworthy individuals mainly religious leaders, and community leaders.
Further to this, the local council would also like to appeal to all Nigerians mainly wealthy individuals and corporate organizations to please join hands with us in bringing succour to the victims during these trying times. As the government cannot do it alone.
In anticipation of this upcoming relief exercise, May God continue to heal our land(Amen).
