If there is one dream left unfulfilled for the embattled former Chairman of FirstBank Nigeria Plc, Ibukun Awosika, after her reign, it is the non-completion of her retirement home.
Sources revealed that the woman of substance had planned her proposed luxury retirement home in the fast developing, exclusive Shore Line Estate behind Banana Island, Ikoyi.
Although she currently lives in Lekki, Awosika, who is a motivational speaker, is erecting a sprawling mansion in the new billionaire’s haven which already housed Nnamdi Okonkwo, the immediate past MD of Fidelity Bank; and GMD/CEO of Zenith Bank, Ebenezer Onyeagwu among others in their privileged class.
The pace of work on the project was on a fast pace hence heading towards a record finishing line. to as to finish the project on time.
Alas! It was not to be! Awosika and members of the Board of Directors of the FirstBank were sacked by the Central Bank of Nigeria last month over bad loans, corporate governance among other issues.
