Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Honourable Sabur Dimeji Bankole has lost his mother, reports thegazellenews.com.
Alhaja Monsurat Atinuke Bankole died early Friday, 10 January, 2025 after a brief illness.
The late matriarch of the Bankole family of Abeokuta was 79.
Until her death, she was the Iya Adinni of Egbaland.
She was the founder of Al Monsur Islamic Society of Nigeria and was Iya Sunnah of Alasalatu Society of Nigeria and West Africa.
She was buried at her husband’s residence in Abule Oluwo, Onikolobo, Abeokuta after the Asr prayers on Friday, 10 January, 2025.
