The former Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, has lost his mother, Chief Mrs Florence Saraki.
Saraki, announced the passing of his mother on Tuesday evening, 18 June, 2024, in a post on X.
“With profound sadness and total submission to the will of Almighty God, I announce the passing of my beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and matriarch, Chief Mrs. Florence Morenike Saraki, who peacefully transitioned today, Tuesday, June 18th, 2024,” he wrote.
“Details regarding funeral arrangements will be shared in due course. We appreciate your love, prayers, and support as we mourn Mama’s passing.”
The late Florence died a few weeks before her 89th birthday.
She celebrated her 87th birthday on August 8, 2022, on Cameron street in the Ikoyi area of Lagos.
