Abuja, Nigeria’s seat of power is playing host to influx of senior policemen seeking promotion into the next rank of their professional career, reports thegazellenews.com
This medium learnt that the Police Service Commission (PSC) in conjunction with the Office of the Inspector General of Police under the supervision of the Federal Ministry of Police Affairs, is embarking on massive promotion of officers particularly those in the senior ranks.
The senior officers will go through promotion examinations for them to attain the next ranks.
TheGazelleNews.com learnt further that the promotion examinations will take place at the Force headquarters and senior officers have been scheduled to write their exams on days allocated to their ranks.
“They (senior police officers) seem to have relocated to Abuja for now. They are coming in large numbers to write their promotion exams,” dependable source told TheGazelleNews.com
According to our source, the promotion exams start on Monday, 16 December, 2024 with the Commissioners of Police seeking promotion into the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG).
Eleven CPs: Umar Shehu Nadada, Mustapha Mohammed Bala, Abayomi Peter Oladipo, Taiwo Olatunde Adeleke, Ibrahim Abdullahi, Akinwale Kunle Adeniran, Zubairu Abubakar, Fom Pam Joseph, Emuobo Fred Ekokotu, Garba Musa Yusuf and Nwonyi Polycarp Emeka are expected to write their exams on Monday at the PSC’s Chairman’s Conference Room at the PSC headquarters in Abuja.
The promotion exams involve those seeking promotion from: Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) to Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP); ACP to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP); and DCP to Commissioner of Police.
