Member of the House of Representatives representing Ikeja Federal Constituency, Honourable James Abiodun Faleke, has completed another round of empowerment programme for his constituents.
On Sunday, 21 November, 2021, 480 people from the constituency benefitted from the latest empowerment programme of the Chairman of the House Committee on Finance.
The 480 people have earlier undergone training in their various fields and were rewarded with tools of their trade and certificates on Sunday, 21 November, 2021.
The beneficiaries undergone training in: Computer and Phone repair, Electrical repair, inverter installation, Hair-styling, Make up, soap making, Tailoring, Automobile repairs, car painting, rewire/air conditioner repair, bricklaying, carpentry, plumbing and tiling.
Overall, 60 people benefitted from hair-styling section, 86 from make up, 90 from soap making, 80 from tailoring, 43 from automobile repairs, 5 from car painting, 10 from rewiring, 12 from bricklaying, 2 from carpentry, 9 from plumbing, 6 from tiling, 29 from computer and phone repair, 28 from electrical repair and 20 from inverter installation.
Speaking at the event, Faleke assured that he would continue to empower his people noting that it is through empowerment that poverty can be reduced and the unemployment problem tackled.
“I’ll continue to ensure that our people are empowered. We will ensure that they become employers of Labour through our various empowerment programmes,” he assured.
