The lawmaker representing Badagry State Constituency 2 in the Assembly, Honourable David Setonji has lost his wife.
Thegazellenews.com learnt that Mrs Adenike Setonji died in the early hours of Saturday, 25 May, 2024, after a protracted illness. She was reported to have been sick since last year before she eventually gave up the ghost at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) in the early hours of Saturday, 25 May, 2024.
She reportedly died at the age of 60. She was a native of Ilesa in Osun State.
Setonji is the Chairman of the House Committee on Information, Strategy and Security. He is serving his third term as a Lawmaker having first been elected into the House in 2015 on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Thegazellenews.com learnt that the burial arrangements for the deceased lawmaker’s wife will be announced soon by the family.
A delegation of the members of the state Assembly are expected to proceed on condolence visit to the lawmaker this morning, Sunday, 26 May, 2024, at his country home in Badagry.
On Tuesday, 21 May, 2024, Alhaji Sulaiman Obasa, father of the Lagos Assembly Speaker died at the age of 83. He was buried on the same day while the final burial ceremony and eight day fidau prayers will take place on Tuesday, 28 May, 2024 at the NYSC Camp, Iyana Ipaja.
