The Federal Government is committed to an improved Federal Fire Service which will ensure optimum service delivery to the populace.
This assurance, The Gazelle News.com can report, was given by the Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola in Abuja on Thursday, 13 February, 2020.
The Gazelle News.com can confirmed that the Minster gave the assurance at the passing out parade of the 5th Regular Cadets at the National Fire Academy, Sheda, Abuja.
Aregbesola also commissioned six new modern firefighting trucks recently procured by the Fire Service, The Gazelle News.com can report.
According to the Minster, in the last four years, the Federal Fire Service has witnessed unprecedented transformation.
The Gazelle News.com can report that a total of 92 modern firefighting trucks have been procured; six new zonal commands established alongside with existing six; while six training schools were established across the country.
“I commend President Muhammadu Buhari for repositioning the Federal Fire Service as I appreciate the Controller General of the Service, Dr. Liman Alhaji Ibrahim and his management team for charting an enviable path for the Service within a relatively short period of time,” the Minister said.
