The Chairman of the Okada Riders Association, Ekiti State, Mr Kunle Asaolu, has disclosed that one of its member was allegedly shot dead by unknown gunmen around Okesa Roundabout in Ado Ekiti, the state capital.
Asaolu, confirmed that the man was one of those working with the association.
The man, who was one of those issuing tickets to commercial motorcyclists around Okesa Roundabout, was reportedly fired upon by unknown assailants who arrived on another motorcycle.
The killers, according to witnesses, fled after perpetrating the dastardly act.
The attack was also confirmed by the spokesperson for Ekiti State Police Command, DSP Sunday Abutu, who said an investigation has commenced.
The corpse has been deposited at the Ekiti State Teaching Hospital morgue.
