A descendant of the illustrious Ologunkutere Royal House, Shokun Royal House of Lagos and Ijede, Asesi Chieftaincy and Olumegbon Chieftaincy Families of Lagos, from the Adele Royal House and Jose Lineage of Ogboni Iduntafa (Onilegbale) in Lagos Island, Comrade Prince Adele Adewale Abolaji Taofiq was born on the 29th January, 1974.
A graduate of Political Science from Ogun State University (1999), Prince Adele began his educational career in 1980 at Holy Trinity School, Ebute�Ero, Lagos, where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate in 1986 and King Ado High School, Ojo Giwa, Lagos where he obtained his Senior School Certificate Examination (O levels) in 1992. In 2012, he obtained a Masters Degree in Public Administration (MPA) from the prestigious Lagos State University, Ojo, where he left an indelible mark in student affairs as Vice President of the Lagos State University Masters of Public Administration Students’ Association in 2011 and later voted in as the
President in 2012. He is a Fellow (Institute of Chartered Administration) and Fellow (International Law Institute).
A reputable Legislative Practitioner with a wealth of rich and remarkable legislative, political and administrative experience, Prince Adele began his professional career at the Lagos State House of Assembly in 2001 as a Legislative Officer and where he has presently risen to become an Assistant Director on Legislative Matters.
A fine, handsome, dedicated, trusted, loyal, and dynamic public servant, over the years he has proven his capabilities and competencies serving in various capacities as Clerk-at-Table who writes the Votes and Proceedings during Plenary Sessions, communication of House Resolutions to various bodies, as Committee Clerk of the House Committees on Public Accounts (State), Inter�parliamentary, Transportation, Education, Works & Infrastructure, and different Ad-Hoc Committees.
Prince Adele is a thoroughbred public servant and a well-trained legislative practitioner who has attended series of international and local training programmes on capacity building, leadership and management, and technical trainings on legislative budget process, legislative drafting, and role of committees in legislative procedure at reputable institutions
such as: Thames Valley University U.K. in 2008; the National Council for State Legislatures in Houston Texas, (USA) in 2011; Chicago, (USA) in 2016. He also participated in a retreat on Transformational Leadership & Organizational Change at the University of Cambridge, UK in 2014, and Constituents Engagement in Modern Democracy (Illinois Springfield) USA, 2019. He is equally an aluminous of the International Law Institute (ILI), USA.
Based on his towering and unblemished integrity and influential personality as a motivator, a goal getter who takes on challenges heads�on even at short notices and one passionate about the welfare and interest of staff and colleagues, it was a momentous epoch in 2015 when after the inauguration of the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN), Lagos State Chapter, Comrade Prince Adele Adewale was unanimously elected as the pioneer State Chairman of the Association.
Based on the rapid achievements during his first tenure, he was re-elected for the second term as the Union Chairman. It is therefore not a surprise that Prince Adele was elected as the Chairman of all Chairmen of Parliamentary Staff Union of Houses of Assembly all over Nigeria as he commands so much respect amongst other state chapters of PASAN.
Prince Adele’s interest in service to the government and humanity actually has a history that began at the grassroots. As a grassroots man, he had always shown keen interest in matters affecting the progress, welfare and development of his immediate environment, or more technically, his constituency.
As he never shied away from responsibilities he has served as the Chairman of C1 Isale-Eko Woro Association; as Treasurer, Isale Eko Consultative Forum; Assistant Secretary, Idungaran Club of Lagos. Within his meagre means as a humble public servant, he has single-handedly facilitated the provision of a borehole at Imaro street, Isale-Eko, and providing opportunities for free summer coaching during school holidays for students of secondary schools.
By virtue of his towering influence, he has also facilitated jobs for a number of young graduates in Isale-Eko.
Beyond these, he has always responded to challenges within his capability and reaching out to others through constant consultation for collaborative achievements.
Comrade Prince Adele Adewale Taofiq is a devout Muslim and little wonder he is very respectful to his elders and seniors and caring about the juniors and others. His commitment to the service of Allah and humanity is evident in his activities as a Member and Chairman of the Building & Maintenance Committee of the Lagos State House of Assembly Muslim Community; as a Member of various committees of NASFAT at the Zonal and Branch level; as Branch Assistant Welfare Secretary; Branch PRO, Branch Vice Chairman, the Branch Chairman and presently the Zone One Vice Chairman. He also holds the title of Oshupa Adinni of Enu-Owa Mosque in Lagos Island and series of awards from different Islamic Organization.
Socially, Comrade Prince Adele Adewale Abolaji Taofiq is a blessed Member of Eko Club, Isale-Eko Conservative Forum, Lagos360 Heritage Foundation and Idunganran Club of Lagos.
A ladies’ man, Comrade Prince Adele is happily married with children.
He is a diehard Arsenal fan that enjoys sporting activities, reading, playing scrabble, travelling and meeting people.
Adele is seeking to win the ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to contest at the coming general election to represent Lagos Island State Constituency 1 in the Lagos State House of Assembly.
