A South East based businessman, Gaius Chibueze, has offered full scholarship to Miss Joy Ejikekeme Mmesomma, the candidate currently embroiled in allegations of mark fraud with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB.
In a message he posted on his twitter handle on Tuesday, 4 July, 2023, the businessman, who claims to be Bitcoin Chief and has been involved in bitcoin trade for years, said the allegation by JAMB smacked of ethnic bias. He said it is a direct attack on the Igbo race.
“I and our company Voice Of The East are ready to offer Miss Joy Mmesoma a 100% scholarship to study in the UK, CANADA or the UNITED states of America.
“Our team will work with her to get admission From any university of her choice in any of the above 3 countries.
“We will take 100% charge of her Fees and upkeep until her masters level.”
Chibueze also called on JAMB “to desist from such unprofessional behavior.
“This is not just an attack on her person but the entire Igbo race!” JAMB on Monday announced that it had barred the candidate from sitting for its examination for three years.
The examination body had accused Mmesomma of inflating her scores in order to claim being the highest scorer in the examination.
The Chairman of a leading indigenous auto-assembly in Nigeria, Innnoson Motorm Chief Innocent Chukwuma, had offered the candidate a sum of N3 million in scholarship before the revelation that she inflated her scores.
Though the candidate has insisted she printed her result from the JAMB portal, the examination body said the template of the result displayed by Mmesomma is different from the template used for the 2023 examination results.
The examination body has also barred her from sitting for any of its examination for three years while also removing her name from the 2023 UTME.
