The Chairman of Alimoso Local Government Area of Lagos State, Honourable Jelili Sulaiman has assured residents of the local government his administration will not relent in delivering dividends of democracy to them even at their doorsteps, reports thegazellenews.com
The Alimoso LG boss spoke on Friday, 22 November, 2024, during the Stakeholders’ Forum with the residents to deliberate on the 2025 budget proposals. The event took place at the council secretariat in Akowonjo.
The council boss informed residents that most of the projects embarked upon in this year as stated in the budget have been completed while some are about 90% completion.
Some of the projects are: Alhaji Musbau Alani Olaleye Modern Market, rehabilitation of roads at: Azeez Ayoride Street, Vincent Street, Alfred Olaiya Street, Omooba Jesu Street and Omirinde Street; construction of: Olorungbebe Public Health Centre, Rauf Aregbesola Primary School and Alimosho Local Government Administrative building
“The participation of the different stakeholders in this budget discussion is to ensure that critical areas are taken into consideration aside from what the administration may be planning to do for the people in various communities in the local government.
“There will be continuous distribution of cash palliatives to the indigent and residents across all the seven wards in Alimosho to ease the economy hardship that people are facing presently in the country,” Sulaiman said.
Various stakeholders were present at the event among whom are: traditional rulers, community leaders, market men and women, artisans, youth representatives, corporate organizations, physically-challenged people and other stakeholders in the local government.
