Former Commissioner for Transport in Lagos State, Dr Kayode Opeifa has debunked media reports that he was elected as a National Degate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to represent Agege Local Government at the coming APC National Convention.
Reports on the social media at the weekend indicated that Dr Opeifa was elected as one of the National Delegate to represent Agege Local Government.
Debunking the report, Dr Opeifa stated that he neither presented himself for any elective post nor participated at the said Congress.
Below is the full statement from Dr Kayode Opeifa on the matter:
My attention has been drawn to some Newspapers and online medium report of my election at a purported congress of the All Progressives Congress (APC) held on 4th of September, 2021 at an unknown location to represent Agege Local government as a National delegate.
Simply, I did not present myself for any elective post nor participated at the said congress.
Kindly disregard the report.
