The aspiration of the current Deputy Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Wasiu Eshinlokun-Sanni to represent Lagos Central Senatorial District in the Upper Legislative Chamber is receiving approval and endorsement daily, reports thegazellenews.com.
Rt. Hon Eshinlokun-Sanni is aspiring on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
This medium investigation revealed that the Deputy Speaker remains the aspirant to beat based on his record of performance in the past.
“He is the most trusted and tested of all the aspirants. He is closer to the grassroots, he has a very cordial relationship with the grassroots,” Abiodun Olumowo, a resident of Lagos Island told thegazellenews.com.
Our correspondent learnt further that during his time as the Chairman of Lagos Island Local Government, Eshinlokun-Sanni has endeared himself to the people.
“He was performing council chairman who has a onnection with the people and the people love him. I can tell you for free that he is the most popular aspirant for the Lagos Central Senatorial District seat,” another Island resident told our correspondent.
Thegazellenews.com learnt further that the aspiration of Eshinlokun caught across all the five local governments that made up the Senatorial District.
“The people of Surulere love him and he has the support of the Apapa, Lagos Mainland and Eti Osa people,” Mrs Adetutu Olamide, told this medium.

“He’s a man of the people. He relates with them and is always in their midst,” a resident of Ajah said.
