The Chairman of Olorunda Local Council Development Area of Lagos, Samson Folorunso Olatunde has announce a weekly two-day off for staff of the council area, reports thegazellenews.com
According to Olatunde, popularly called Samola by his admirers, the gesture was in response to the significant challenges occasioned by the removal of fuel subsidy by the Federal Government.
According to the council boss, with effect from Monday, 7 August, 2023, staff of the council will be coming to work three days in a week.
He thus directed the management staff, including the Council Manager, Treasurer, and all Heads of Departments (HODs), to devise rosters immediately. The implementation will utilize alternation to ensure that despite the workforce enjoying two days off, productivity in administrative functions will remain uninterrupted.
