The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa has named Imam Ridwan Lawal as his Senior Special Assistant on Islamic Affairs reports thegazellenews.com.
Imam Lawal, a senior civil servant, is a member of the Lagos Assembly Muslim Community’s Missionary Committee. He is one of the leading Islamic figures in the Assembly and one of its Imams.
Imam Lawal is a graduate of Political Science from the Lagos State University and holds a Master’s degree in International Law and Diplomacy from the University of Lagos.
He is an alumnus of the prestigious International Law Institute (ILI), Washington DC and has attended several local and international workshops, seminars ,conferences and courses .
He is an Assistant Director in the Lagos State House of Assembly, a seasoned civil servant with over 20 years cognitive experience.
Before his appointment he was the Secretary, House Committee on Works and Infrastructure; Secretary, Committee on the Environment and Water Resources; Secretary, Committee on Tourism, Arts and Culture; Secretary, Committee on Information and Strategy as well as being Secretary, Committee on Judiciary and Public Petitions.
