It was beautiful moments filled with fun, as the Special Adviser to the Governor of Lagos State on Works, Dr Adekunle Olayinka became the Charter President of Rotary Club of Dideolu Golden, last weekend.
The installation ceremony held at the Rotary International District 9111, Nigeria Headquarters in GRA Ikeja, Lagos was conducted under the chairmanship of the Deputy Governor of the state, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat who was represented by the Chairman of Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB), Dr. Hakeem Shittu.
The colourful event was graced by dignitaries in the socio-economic and political circuit across the state and beyond.
The roll call include: Otunba Henry Ajomale, former State Chairman, All Progressives Congress (APC) and Member of Lagos State Governance Advisory Council (GAC); Honorable James Abiodun Faleke, Member, House of Representatives, Ikeja Federal Constituency; Alhaji Mutiu Are, Secretary of Lagos State Governance Advisory Council (GAC); Hon Adedeji Temitope Jah Member, Lagos State House of Assembly representing Ifako-Ijaye Constituency 01 and Chairman, House Committee on Transport; Barrister Oluwasina Olanrewaju Ogungbade SAN, Attorney-General of Ogun State and Commissioner for Justice; and Osi-Apagun LaiLabode, Group Managing Director of CashToken.
The Lagos State Executive Council (Cabinet) of 2023-2027 were also in attendance: Mr Gbenga Oyerinde, Commissioner for Special Duties and Inter- Governmental Relations, Hon Jamiu Alli Balogun, Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education; Dr Oluwarotimi Fashola, Special Adviser on Agriculture; Dr. Tajudeen Abiodun Afolabi, Special Adviser on Political, Legislative and Civic Engagement; Hon Nurudeen Agbaje, Special Adviser on Rural Development, Hon. Bola Olumegbon Lawal, Special Adviser for Central Business District; and Dr. Ore Finnih, Special Adviser, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Speaking at the event, Otunba Henry Ajomale said developing the country should not be left entirely in the hands of Government. He added that non -governmental organizations should continue to support in the course of serving humanity.
The newly chartered president, Dr. Olayinka appreciated all attendees and emphasized his commitment to public service delivery and care for humanity as he sees Rotary as an avenue to expand the horizon of his servitude to humanity towards all tribes and tongues.
The evening was spiced up with music from Juju legend, King Sunny Ade who dished out danceable tunes.
