A lecturer with the Lagos State University (LASU) and Head of Department of Microbiology of the University, Dr Abdul Azeez Anjorin has been elected the General Secretary of the Nigerian Young Academy (NYA), reports thegazellenews.com.
Dr Anjorin’s election took place during the ongoing 13th General Assembly and International Conference of the group taking place at the Edo State University, Uzairue, Edo State.
The theme of the Conference is: Interdisciplinary Research as a Critical Tool for Innovation and Sustainable Development.
Sub-themes are: Climate change adaptation and environmental sustainability; Agriculture and food security; Computational modelling and big data; Water, sanitation and hygiene; Artificial intelligence, machine learning and cybersecurity; Human security and economic development; Policy management and good governance; and Promoting research in a technology-driven democratic process
Attendance is opened to: Researchers, Academics, Research Administrators, Graduate Students, Government & Non-Governmental Organisations, Civil Societies, Industrialists Policymakers; Managers of Private & Public Enterprises, among others.
