The Chairman of the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB), Honourable Wahab Alawiye-King has described the victory of the state Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu at the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary as a well deserved victory which confirmed the superlative performance of the Governor in the past three and half years.
Alawiye-King disclosed this while reacting to the comprehensive victory of Sanwo-Olu at the primary election conducted on Thursday, 26 May, 2022 at the Mobolaji Johnson Stadium, Onikan, Lagos.
“You all witness the overwhelming victory of our dear Governor at the primary election. It is a huge vote of confidence passed on His Excellency by our party members and I know by the special grace of God, the people of the state will reciprocate similar gesture during the coming general election,” the LASUBEB Chairman said.
According to him, Sanwo-Olu has done remarkably well in operating a people-oriented administration which programmes have impacted positively on the entirety of the people of the state.
“APC members, elders and leaders are happy with him and they are very proud of him. This we have demonstrated on Thursday with that overwhelming votes at the primary election,” he said.
Alawiye-King stated further that he has no doubt that the Governor will also win overwhelmingly at the election because, “Lagosians are happy with him. His administration has impacted positively on them, I have no doubt in my mind, we will at the election proper”.
He commended the delegates for a peaceful conduct during the exercise noting that they have displayed the peaceful internal democracy in the party.
Alawiye-King also applauded members of the election committee for ensuring that due process prevailed during the exercise.
