Coker Aguda Local Council Development Area topped the list of aspirants vying to become elected chairmen on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the coming local government elections in the state reports The Gazelle News.com.
A total of 21 aspirants are contesting to replace the current chairman of the Council, Mrs Akinyemi-Obe.
Ifelodun LCDA followed with 17 aspirants Amuwo Odofin Local Government and Ifako Ijaiye followed with 12 aspirants each.
Five councils: Imota, Badagry West, Eti-Osa East, Bariga and Ikoyi Obalende LCDAs all have the list aspirants each with one aspirant collecting the nomination forms for the respective councils.
Amuwo Odofin LG topped the list of councillorship aspirants with 40 aspirants, followed by Mushin with 34 aspirants and Apapa-Iganmu with 32 aspirants.
In all, there are 1,046 aspirants vying for the 377 councillorship seats in the state while 333 aspirants are vying for the 57 chairmanship slots in the state.
