With the end of sales and submission of forms by aspirants of the chairmanship and councillorship aspirants on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, the party is set to commence its screening exercise on Saturday, 15 May, 2021.
The exercise will hold at the state secretariat of the party for chairmanship aspirants and local government party offices for councillorship aspirants.
The state Secretary of the party and Secretary of the party’s Election Committee for the election, Hon Lanre Ogunyemi who gave this hint also mentioned that 332 chairmanship aspirants are expected to be screened while 1053 councillorship aspirants will undergo the screening exercise across the state.
On the whole, 1,387 aspirants are expected to be screened. The exercise will end on Friday, 21 May, 2021 while the Appeals on screening will start on Saturday, 22 May and end on Wednesday, 26 May, 2021.
The primary elections holds on Saturday, 29 May, 2021 and Appeals on the primaries will be heard between Monday, 31 May and Wednesday, 1 June, 2021.
The State Secretary of the party said the party intends to adhere strictly to its set-out timelines in conformity with LASIEC timetable.
