A former Executive Secretary of Mosan-Okunola Local Council Development Area, Hon. Akindele Adunni Opeyemi, on Wednesday, 5 May, 2021 formally joined the race for the chairmanship position of the LCDA with a promise to ensure she exceeds her previous achievements.
Hon. Opeyemi made the promise moments after she obtained her expression of interest form from the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the party’s primary election which is to hold soon ahead of the main exercise.
Nicknamed ‘Adunni in the Neighborhood’ while she was the Executive Secretary of the LCDA, Opeyemi said she remains optimistic that the process leading to the emergence of the candidates for the election would be a perfect example for other parties to emulate.
“APC is a family and as a result, there is no reason to be scared about the process of screening and the emergence of candidates.
“My dream is to ensure that the people of my LCDA taste again my passion for development, progress and unity of purpose which we all benefitted from when I was executive secretary.
“This time, we have better dreams, a better vision, more passion and renewed energy to further our programmes. Adunni in the Neighbourhood will ensure every neighbourhood is touched positively to the glory of God and service to humanity,” she said.
