Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, the embattled Kogi Central Senator, on Tuesday, 1 April,, 2025, declared that nobody can stop her from coming home.
Natasha stressed her connection to her root, saying she’s not afraid of anybody trying to stop her from coming home.
She made the assertion while addressing her followers who gathered to welcome her in Okehi Local Government Area.
“Nobody and nothing can stop me from coming home. I’m an Ebira woman; this is my land. I’m the daughter of the late Jimoh Abdul Akpoti. I know my roots; I’m not a bastard, and I’m not afraid of anybody.” the senator said.
Kogi State government had banned rallies and public gatherings across the state ahead of her homecoming, citing security issues.
The government also stopped fishing and other activities, lamenting that fishing activities resulted in the loss of two lives in Kasemiya, Katubo and Umozu Ette, all in Kogi LGA in Kogi West.
Similarly, the Kogi State Police Command also issued security alerts urging the suspended lawmaker to shelve the planned rally.
The chairman of Okehi LGA, Amoka Monday, declared a curfew in the area.
