The Acme Road, Ikeja Secretariat of the Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was filled with joyous members today, Monday, 14 March, 2022 when members of the Executive Council of the state chapter took oath of office, reports The Gazelle News.com.
The exercise took place at the boardroom of the party under the watchful eyes of the state Chairman, Pastor Cornellius Oyefolu Ojelabi and party elders, particularly members of the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), the highest decision making organ of the party in the state and some state and National Assembly members.
Among those who took oath of office were: Honourable Sumi Odesanya, Secretary; Chief Tunde Aboyade, Vice Chairman for Lagos West Senatorial District; Honourable Seye Oladejo, Publicity Secretary and Comrade Ayodele Adewale, Organising Secretary among others.
Speaking at the event, Chairman of the party in the state, Pastor Ojelabi urged the new Exco members to serve the party with dignity and transparency while not forgetting to continue to uphold the ideas, ideals and aims of the party.
“We should continue to work towards making the party great all the time as we strive to uphold and promote its ideals,” he said.
In attendance at the event were: the Chairman of the GAC, Prince Tajudeen Olusi; the Secretary of the Group, Alhaji Mutiu Are; former Senate Minority Whip, Senator Ganiyu Olanrewaju Solomon; Alhaji Seriki Bamu; first Secretary to Lagos State Government, Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun; Prince Anthony Adefuye; ex-APC Chairman in the state, Chief Henry Oladele Ajomale; immediate past Vice Chairman for Lagos Central Senatorial District, Honourable Hakeem Adisa Bamgbola among others.
