Nigeria and Africa’s foremost football fans group, the Nigeria Football Supporters Club (NFSC), have joined millions of people around the world who have been sending condolences messages to one of Africa’s greatest footballers, Patrick Segun Odegbami, on the death of his son, Oluwagbeminiyi Odegbami.
The Nigerian football community was thrown into mourning mood during the week, when Odegbami confirmed the death of his son to the public.
NFSC, in its condolence message signed by its National Chairman, Ambassador (Rev). Samuel Ikpea, described Oluwagbeminiyi Odegbami’s demise as a most unfortunate and shocking news to bear.
“This is indeed, a black and sad moment, not only for the Odegbami’s family, but as well, for members of the football community. Painful, because no parent wants to lose their children.
“On behalf of the myself and the entire members of Nigeria Football Supporters Club, both home and abroad, I pray that God in His infinite mercies, grant our dearest Chief Segun Odegbami and his family, the strength and fortitude to bear this huge loss. God be with you, now and always,” the message read.
