The Presidential Candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso has won the presidential election in home state, Kano, reports thegazellenews.com.
In the final result released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Kwankwaso polled a total of 1,179,889 votes to beat his nearest challenger and Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu who polled 773,528 votes.
The Presidential Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar came a distant third with 143,213 votes.
