Nigeria’s hope of winning a medal at the ongoing 2024 Olympic Games has been dashed after Tobi Amusan failed to secure a place in the final of the women’s 100m hurdles.
Amusan finished third in the semi-final missing out on automatic qualification.
The 27-year-old Ogun-State born athlete also finished 9th overall in the final standings.
The world record holder was one of the favourites to win gold medal in the event.
Amusan made it to the final three years in Tokyo.
She is however still looking for her first medal in the Olympics.
