The Deputy President of the Senate (DSP), Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, has expressed deep shock and sadness over the demise of the former President-General of Isoko Development Union (IDU), Elder Peter Erebi.
He described Erebi the running mate to Great Ovedje Ogboru in the 2015 governorship election in Delta State on the platform of the Labour Party, as an accomplished businessman, renowned philanthropist, community leader and politician.
“As a true progressive, Elder Peter Erebi enjoyed everyone’s love and respect for his diligence and readiness to do all that was necessary to bring change to governance in Delta State. He served his Isoko nation with deep commitment and worked for the wellbeing of the Isoko people.
“Peter Erebi’s passing is a heavy loss to all of us, and his memory will remain evergreen in the hearts of the Isoko people in particular and Deltans in general. Indeed, we have lost a wise and erudite leader whose empathy and compassion for the people through his philanthropy, made him a much loved leader,” he said.
Senator Omo-Agege extended his heartfelt condolences to Erebi’s family and friends whilst enjoining Deltans to remember them in their prayers at this very trying moment of losing such an illustrious Deltan.
