The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire has condoled with the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu; the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu; the APC, particularly Mushin chapter; and family members over the death of Mrs Modupe and Honourable AbduSobur Olawale.
Both Mrs Awodogan popularly called Iya Oniyan and chieftain of the party; and Honourable Olawale also known as Omititi, member of the Lagos State House of Assembly; died few hours apart on Tuesday, 15 November, 2022.
Princess Orelope-Adefulire described the death of the two APC chieftains as colossal loss to the Progressives family, saying they are both committed and loyal members of the party.
“Their demise is sad and shocking. They will surely be missed not only by their family members but also by the entire APC members and the Progressives family particularly Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu,” she said.
On Iya Oniyan, the Presidential Aide described her as “a very wonderful party member who was very loyal and highly committed to the Progressives family and democratic principles.
“I’ve known her for a very and for all the time I know her death, I always marvel at the level of her commitment and energy in promoting and propagating the ideals of democracy and particularly, the Progressives family”.
On Omititi, she described him as a party man to the core. “He was committed to the party and reports of him have shown that he was very proud of his membership of the Progressives family,” she said.
Princess Orelope-Adefulire prayed to God to give Asiwaju Tinubu, Governor Sanwo-Olu, the deceased family members and the party the fortitude to bear the huge losses.
