The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals (SSAP-SDGs), Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire has congratulated newly elected member for Surulere Federal Constituency I in the House of Representatives, Honourable Fuad Laguda on his victory at the polls.
Laguda of the All Progressives Congress (APC) winner of the rerun election for the Surulere Federal Constituency I by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) which took place on Saturday, 3 February, 2024.
The rerun election was organized to replace Rt Hon Femi Gbajabiamila who resigned his membership of the House after he was appointed the Chief of Staff by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Speaking on Laguda’s victory, Princess Orelope-Adefulire described the victory as a further confirmation of Lagosians’ trust and belief in the APC to deliver.
“Lagosians have once proved again that APC is their party,” she said.
The Presidential Aide also commended the peaceful nature of the election which went without any report of violence. “It’s a well conducted and peaceful election and kudos to Lagosians for the peaceful exercise,” she said.
Princess Orelope-Adefulire also congratulated President Tinubu, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), the leadership of APC in Lagos State and members of the party in the state particularly those in Surulere Federal Constituency I for working to ensure the well deserved victory.
