Victor Osimhen and Napoli are yet to reach an agreement on a new contract, Corriere dello Sport, Italian publication reports.
According to the tabloid, Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda met Napoli President, Aurelio de Laurentiis on Wednesday, 19 July, 2023 to sort out details of the new contract.
Both parties are yet to reach an agreement on wages and the possible inclusion of a release clause.
With the forward keen to remain at the Estadio Diego Armando Maradona, the issue is expected to be resolved in the next few days.
The Nigerian striker joined his teammates for pre-season training in Dimaro on Tuesday.
Osimhen has two years remaining on his contract but the Partenopei want him to commit to another two years amid interest from European big guns.
