Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of the State of Osun has condoled with the State Commissioner for Water Resources and Energy, Dr. Amidu Tadese Raheem, over the demise of his mother, Alhaja Roheenat Asabi Tadese Raheem (Nee Akinbami).
Oyetola, in a statement on Tuesday, 21 April, 2020, by his Chief Press Secretary, Ismail Omipidan, sympathised with the Commisioner and the entire Tadese’s family in Iwo. He said he received the news of Alhaja Roheenat’s death with sadness and prayed Allah comfort her family and loved ones.
The Governor noted that the deceased who passed on earlier today at the age of 115 years lived a fulfilled and exemplary life, adding that she was a good mother and compassionate woman who would be remembered for the impacts she made in the lives of people around her.
The Governor prayed to God to grant the supercentenarian eternal rest and the bereaved family the fortitude to bear the loss.
He urged the family to take solace in the fact that she was blessed with long life, which she spent in the service to Allah and humanity.
Alhaja Roheenat Asabi Tadese Raheem is survived by children, grand children, great grand children and great great grand children.
