The Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists, Oyo State Council, Mr. Demola Babalola has applauded the newly appointed Commissioner of Information and Orientation, Prince Dotun Oyelade for his consistent professional ability, that has made him relevant in successive administrations in Oyo State.
The NUJ Chairman said this on Wednesday, 9 August, 2023 during a congratulatory visit to the Commissioner in Ibadan.

He however appealed to Prince Oyelade to revive the moribund quarterly inter-ministerial press briefing, hosted by the Ministry.
Responding, the Commissioner expressed his readiness to collaborate with the leadership of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Oyo State council on Information gathering and dissemination.
Oyelade, who noted that journalists are professional partners with the Ministry of Information, called on the leadership of the union to continue working under the guidelines of the professional ethics of Journalism.
Prince Oyelade noted that the good relationship between the State Government and the union gave birth to the recent inclusion of Demola Babalola in the newly inaugurated SAfERs Committee.
In a related development, Prince Oyelade has charged State Information Officers to brace up for hard work, professionalism and excellence as he pilots the affairs of the Ministry.
The Commissioner urged Information Officers to sustain the tempo they gave Governor Makinde during his first term as Governor, adding that they should not do anything to let down the State Government.
