A real estate expert, Alhaji Lukman Ibrahim, has called on Nigerians to move closer to God, be united and determined if the country wants to succeed in the war against
Insecurity.
Alhaji Ibrahim, Chairman of Swift Partners Realty, an estate and property development company, spoke during the annual Ramadan Lecture of the Ogun State chapter of the Ansar-ud-Deen Islamic Society of Nigeria which took place in Abeokuta.
The real estate expert who was the chairman of the event stated that Nigerians must move closer to God, have unity of purpose and be determined to fight the scourge. “We must admit that we are facing very serious security challenge in the country today. For us to surmount the problem, we must move closer to God, have unity of purpose and be determined. Certainly these challenges are surmountable if we move closer to God and are united,” he said.
According to him, “In Quran Chapter 3 (Surat al-Imran) Verse 102, Almighty Allah says, “Hold fast all of you together, to the rope of Allah and be not divided among yourselves…
“The key words are unity and faith, most importantly Fear of Allah. Belief in Allah and be united in purpose and action. These were the pillars on which the founding fathers of Ansar-ud-Deen stood on and they achieved everlasting success. This is also what we should imbibe to surmount the challenges facing us.
“The challenges facing the country are enormous and we should all work collectively to surmount them. It should be a joint effort of all”.
He commended the Ansar-ud-Deen Islamic Society for pioneering the efforts of educating Muslim children without them losing thier faith.
“Ansar-ud-Deen was the brain child of a group of young Muslims who came together to ensure a proper education for Muslims in Nigeria. Today, directly or indirectly, millions are products of the Ansar-ud-Deen educational system. What this society has achieved by putting aside their individual differences and working together to build a system that outlived them is remarkable,” he said.
Speaking on the theme of the lecture, Signs of the Last Hour: A Critical Assessment of the State of the Nation the Guest Speaker, Imam Tajudeen Adisa Taiwo, Missioner, ADS, Oke Odan branch, said that human beings need to move closer to God in their quest to achieve greatness.
