The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye said the family and the church has lost a champion.
The reverred man of God stated this at his charge during the farewell service for his son, Pastor Dare who died in his sleep on May 4.
Fondly called Daddy G.O by his followers, Adeboye who spoke on the Bible verse Romans 8:28 said no doubt they have lost a champion, but everything is working together for his family and the church good.
“No doubt we have lost a champion, but we can still raise more champions who will go all over the world to conquer nations for God. It’s not how far but how well, even Jesus Christ fulfilled his ministry at 33 years,” he said.
According to him, the late Pastor Dare should be seen as a seed that has been sowed while the church is waiting for the harvest.
He enjoined the congregation not to waver in faith rather they should be ready to move for God.
Adeboye said the late Pastor Dare in one of his messages that God does not need visa to visit anyone,He can visit at anytime and He is sovereign.
In a related development,to honour the deceased fondly called, Pastor D, youths of the church shave their hair as a sign to show their last respect for him. With Hashtag #PDee and #NotTodaySatan, I’m not leaving God.There is surely no fear in death, abundant life here and eternal life hereafter. Absent in the body, present with the Lord.
The late Pastor Dare Adeboye who died at was buried after a Farewell Service at the Youth Centre, Redemption Camp, along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
