Mr. Abdulazeez Olajide Adediran has been described as the new face of hope in Lagos State by the people of Badagry division, the division that formed one of the five divisions of Nigeria’s economic capital.
The belief by a section of the politically inclined that Badagry division has no qualified sons for Lagos political top seat was put in check after the visit of the Lead Visioner of Team Jandor, who doubles as the grand patron of Ibile Eko Forum, Mr. Abdulazeez Olajide Adediran completed a one week tour of the division.
The division comprises of four local Government Areas and six Local Council Development Areas.
On Tuesday, during the visit of Adediran to Ibasa, the riverine area of Oriade LCDA in Amuwo-Odofin, he was warmly received by the Council chairman, Hon. Ramota Hassan Akinola; the Ovori of Ibeshe, Oba Alani Gausu; the Alabirun of Ikare, Dr. Kayode Akinyemi; Oba-Elect of Ibasa-Ijegun, Alhaji Afeez Shittu; Oba-Elect of Irede Kingdom, Chief Sheriff Bello among other dignitaries.
The inauguration of the Ibile-Eko forum, Oriade LCDA and Amuwo-Odofin LGA chapters was observed by the Grand patron, Mr. Abdulazeez Olajide Adediran.
The inauguration programme featured cultural display and also a consensus was reached, identifying Jandor as a unifying factor in the Division.
On Wednesday, Jandor hosted both traditional rulers and political leaders of Olorunda LCDA, before proceeding to the inauguration venue of Olorunda LCDA Chapter of Ibile-Eko forum.
Immediately after Olorunda inauguration, the BSB group of Badagry played host to Jandor, endorsing him as their symbol.
On Thursday, the Grand Patron of Ibile-Eko Forum was at Badagry West to observe the inauguration of the Ibile-Eko, Badagry west chapter, the glamorous event also had in attendant,top political leaders and traditional rulers. This was followed by a coutesy call to the Palace of Alapa of Apa Kingdom,HRM Oba Oyekan Adekanmi Ajose who declared his support for Jandor.
On the same day, Team Jandor food bank was launched in Badagry, registering overwhelming beneficiaries of the scheme.
On Friday, Mr. Abdulazeez Olajide Adediran Observed Jumaat Prayers at Badagry Central Mosque, with the Chief Imam eulogising him as a credible personality from the division.
The next point of call was a condolence visit to the Palace of Akran of Badagry Kingdom, De Wheno Aholu Menu Toyi I over the demise of Prince Akran-Ahisu Emmanuel (Baba Mushin), the foster father of Jandor.
The celebration of life of the late patriarch witnessed the presence of state functionaries and other dignitaries.
The visit may have come and gone, but it leaves memories of how the Alésèéwògbé, Jandor, left a mark and how the people now wear a new look with smiles on their faces. The warm feelings of having a shoulder of a brother, uncle and a friend to lean on.
