The Governor of Rivers State, Nyisome Wike was the game changer as the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu won in Rivers State, reports thegazellenews.com
The Rivers State Governor delivered when it mattered most with his local government, Obio-Akpor delivering over 80,000 votes in favour of the APC Candidate to turn the contest on its head in the state.
Prior to the result, Obi was leading Tinubu, having scored over 169,000 votes while the APC Candidate was trailing with over 148,000 votes.
But Wike delivered when it mattered most and Tinubu eventually won scoring 231,585 votes with Obi trailing 178,039 votes while the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar scoring 88,468 votes.
