The social media scene in Alimoso has been active since Tuesday, 19 September, 2023, when the video of the meeting of the group led by Abdullahi Enilolobo hits the air wave.
In the said video, one of the leaders of group, which is still reeling from the obvious loss of political power in the largest and most populous local government in Lagos State and perhaps Nigeria, Yisa Yusuf popularly called YY, threw caution to the wind.
In their usual ways of finding fault where there is none but at their own backyard, YY openly accused the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals (SSAP SDGs), Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire of being responsible for the removal of one of the cabinet-nominees, Rotimi Ogunwuyi from the list.
In his warped mind and speaking the mind of other leaders of the group and addressing their gullible followers, YY stated that Princess Orelope-Adefulire together with the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa and Mrs Adunni Opeyemi Akindele ‘cried’ to meet the President and have the name of Ogunwuyi removed.
What a warped narration! What a disgraceful submission! What a disjointed group!
It’s obvious that the group is losing power in Alimoso but the leaders don’t have the gut to tell their gullible followers, so they will take the easy way out: lying shamelessly.
These are not Honourable leaders and do not want to take responsibility of their actions
But why do they have to drag the name of Adejoke into their misfortune is still a mystery.
For their information, Princess Adejoke does not need to ‘cry’ to get things done. Have they forgotten that she’s well respected and dutifully provides quality representation for her Local Government.
May be we should also remind them that Princess is also a Presidential Aide who has distinguished herself and created a niche for herself when good governance is mentioned.
For the records, and for their gullible followers, Princess Orelope-Adefulire has no hand in the matter that led to Barrister Ogunwuyi being dropped and it should be proved if they have evidence.
For the avoidance of doubt, the information in town shows that the leaders of the other camp are advocating for more slots for their benefits, nobody was against the nomination of their nominees or anything like that.
The information also revealed that some of their female leaders among them an LGA Chairperson was caught at the last elections directing their people to vote for opposing party and was recorded.
It is very obvious that the SAP-SDGs has always advocated that Alimoso deserves more than even two slots in the cabinet based on the size and population. The has been the trend since 1999 and also that Alimoso delivered the highest number of votes to Sanwo-Olu during the Governorship Election.
The Woman of Grace has always been promoting the interest of Alimoso and its people, since she has been representing the noble Local Government called Alimoso which she had turned into construction site for many people-oriented projects which their camp and Alimosho people cannot deny.
Rather than blame those that have nothing to do with their palava, the group leaders should have been courageous and honest enough to tell their followers the truth, that Ogunwuyi was a victim of their association with former Minister of Interior who is at a logger head with Mr President. They have enjoyed the goodies from their relationship with him, now that the table has turned, they should lick their wounds in peace and stop dragging names into their misfortune.
They should be reminded that all the six elected council Chairmen in Alimoso Federal Constituency are from their group. This is okay so far they’re the beneficiaries.
But when the tables are turned against them, they cry foul!
They should admit the obvious: they are the architects of their own misfortune! Period!
