Barely 48 hours to the kick-off of the 2023 presidential poll, the Independent National Electoral Commission,( INEC), in Oyo State, has commenced the distribution of sensitive materials ahead in the state.
The distribution of the sensitive materials to all 33 local government areas was done in the early hours of Thursday.
The gazellenews.com leant that the exercise was done at the Central Bank of Nigeria(CBN), Ibadan branch, amid tight security.
Representatives of various political parties in the state were represented during the distribution.
Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state, Dr Rahman Adeniran Tella, said the distribution began at 2 a.m. on Thursday, 23 February, 2023, adding that the materials, including ballot paper, EC8 series and result sheets, would be redistributed to polling centres.
According to Tella, the registration area centres, RAC, would be activated on Friday.
The presidential and national assembly elections have been slated to hold on Saturday, 25th February 2023
