The Lagos West Senatorial District executive members and leadership of Justice Forum convened a senatorial meeting at Fidimaye Hall, New Oko Oba, Abule Egba, Lagos.
The theme of the meeting, which was held on Friday, 4 October, 2024, was “Strength, Weakness, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT Analysis).”
As a renowned grassroots mobilizer in Lagos State, Justice Forum brought together chairmen, secretaries, and women leaders from all local governments and local council development areas in Lagos West Senatorial District.
The meeting was aimed at fostering familiarization, reaffirming commitments, and mobilizing support for the upcoming elections.
Vice Chairman for Lagos West, Barrister Sunday Kappo commended the leadership of the group, particularly State Coordinator, Rt. Hon. (Dr.) James Abiodun Faleke, for their dedication and commitment.
Barr. Kappo emphasized the importance of regular local government and ward meetings at least once a month to prepare for the forthcoming local government elections.
Also speaking, the state Treasurer of the group, Hon. Ishola Adegboyega Salvador reassured members that they were not alone and encouraged them to contact leadership when needed.
He congratulated local government representatives, acknowledging that they were chosen for their roles.
State Secretary of Justice Forum, Hon. Tajudeen Agoro from the Central Senatorial District and former Commissioner for Local Govt Affairs in Lagos State, Hon. Folami, who observed the meeting from the East senatorial district, appreciated the leadership and pledged to replicate the commitment in their own district.
Chief Ebenezer Akinbolade from the Elders’ Council assured the local government leadership that Justice Forum is a force to reckon with in the 2027 elections while also expressing confidence that the flaws of the last general election in Lagos State will not repeat itself.
In her submissions, the state Woman Leader of Justice Forum, Alhaja Ajao advocated for women’s participation in leadership and announced upcoming women’s senatorial meetings.
