Former Commissioner for Transport in Lagos, Dr Kayode Opeifa; and the Lawmaker representing Agege State Constituency II in the state House of Assembly, Honourable Oluyinka Ogundimu have both expressed satisfaction at the conduct of the Governorship and State Assembly Elections in the areas.
Speaking separately to thegazellenews.com at their respective polling in Mulero and Orile Agege respectively, both Opeifa and Ogundimu thumbed up the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for ensuring a smooth and seamless exercise.
The duo also expressed confident that the state Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and all the candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC), competing in the elections will triumph.
“So far so good, the exercise has been smooth and people have been performing their civic duty peacefully.
“INEC officials came early and within minutes set up their equipment and voting commenced immediately. The area has been very peaceful and I’m happy that the exercise is going on smoothly,” Opeifa told thegazellenews.com
On his part, Ogundimu said, “I’m highly impressed with the arrangements put in place by INEC and as you can see, everything is going on peacefully. We don’t have any security issue and people are going about performing their civic duty peacefully”.
The duo of Opeifa and Ogundimu also expressed optimism at the victory of Governor Sanwo-Olu and APC candidates.
“The Governor has done remarkably well and I’m quite optimistic of his victory and that of the other APC candidates in the election,” Ogundimu said.
For Opeifa, the governor’s achievements are visible, hence he and the party in general have worked hard for their eventual victory at the polls.
