Former Auditor General for Local Government in Lagos, Alhaji Muhammad Mubashiru Hassan has described the overwhelming victory of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in the Guber Election as a confirmation of Lagosians’ approval of his administration.
Hassan, who is also ex-Managing Director of the Lekki Concession Company, also stated that the comprehensive victory will serve as an encouragement for the Sanwo-olu administration to do more in providing infrastructure development and growth of the state.
Hassan stated this in a statement he signed to congratulate Sanwo-Olu and other APC candidates on their victory at the Governorship and State Assembly Elections which took place on Saturday, 18 March, 2023.
“The victory was comprehensive and overwhelming. It’s a confirmation that Lagosians approve the administration of Governor Sanwo-Olu and they’re in love with the he’s administering the state. They decided to show their approval and gave their consent for his second term in office through that comprehensive victory,” Hassan, who delivered his polling unit, Unit 040, Ojo town for the All Progressives Congress (APC), said.
In Hassan’s polling unit, APC scored 91 votes for Governorship Election, the Labour Party recorded 44 votes while the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) recorded a paltry eight votes.
In the state Assembly Election, APC recorded 95 votes, LP scored 42 votes while PDP had mere five votes.
Hassan also congratulated the Senator-elect for Lagos West Senatorial District, Dr Idiat Oluranti Adebule; the Lawmaker-elect for Ojo State Constituency I, Ege; and the member representing Ojo State Constituency II, Surajudeen Emir, who is returning to the House for their success in the elections.
