Forty eight hours to the kick-off of Saturday, 25 February, 2023, presidential election, a chieftain and member of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), Bode George, has revealed the party’s major problem that may hinder the success of the party in the zone
George said that the problem the PDP have ahead of the general election is that the managers of the party have failed to manage it well.
Speaking on Arise TV on Wednesday, 22 February, 2023, George said the leaders of PDP have failed to include the southwest in vital positions in the party ahead of this year’s general election.
“The managers of the current party did not manage it well. See the scenario now. The presidential candidate is northeast, the director general of the national campaign is North West, the national chairman of the party is in the north-central, the vice presidential candidate is from the south-south, and the acting chairman of the board of trustees is from the southeast.
“Where is the south-west in all these? Where is that inclusivity? So that is the problem we have and the integrity group still stands steadfast without belief. [Where is] fairness and equity,?” the former Military Governor of Ondo said.
